Denkendorf, 12.15.2022<\/strong> \u2013 pepper motion GmbH has concluded a supply contract for battery systems with Impact Clean Power Technology S.A. (Poland). The company now manufactures complete battery systems for pepper, developed according to the specific requirements of the commercial vehicle sector.<\/p>\n

Suitable for both buses and trucks, this is a further development of the previous battery systems, which have been optimized in particular in terms of robustness and cost. Fleet operators thus benefit from even greater reliability and longevity of their vehicles and therefore from excellent value for money.<\/p>\n

The development of the battery systems to be produced by Impact goes back to pepper. The pioneer and technology leader in commercial vehicle electrification has specified the design of a modular lithium-ion battery unit. The individual module has a capacity of 60 kWh. Several of these modules can be connected in parallel to install only as much capacity as is necessary for the specific application. The scalable battery system therefore effortlessly covers daily distances of 200 to 250 km. This meets the requirements of both buses in public transport and trucks in regional and urban distribution transport and offers maximum economy.<\/p>\n

With Impact, we have gained another battery supplier that shares our quality requirements and supports us in being able to produce and deliver our vehicles reliably and quickly,\u201d explains Dr. Matthias Kerler, CTO of pepper motion GmbH. \u201cIn parallel, we are working in Paderborn on pepper\u2019s own research and development of the latest generation of battery systems for commercial vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n

The special requirements for battery systems in the commercial vehicle sector are once again significantly higher than for passenger car models due to the rigors of everyday use. Robustness, durability, safety, availability, energy efficiency, and sustainability are the key requirements of fleet operators for emission-free electric drive systems and the battery systems used in them.<\/p>\n
